I remember the first time i saw this church, I was sure there was a tom cruise involved somehow. Surprisingly, no. Despite its modern appearance, Notre-Dame d’Espérance is a Roman Catholic church, and a beautiful one.
The story of Notre-Dame d’Espérance is going back to the year 1928, however, the current building was designed by Bruno Legrand and Jean-Luc Le Roy and realized in 1997. The modern look of the church has a reason behind it. Not only it fits well into the rather modern surroundings of the 11th arrondissement, but feels more welcoming and opened to the people.
So if you are strolling around the area, don’t hesitate to pay a visit to this beautiful place, it’s worth it. And by the way, twice a month you even have an opportunity to attend a concert of organ music at Notre-Dame d’Espérance.
