Sunday breakfast at\u00a0Ladur\u00e9e Bonaparte, \u00ab\u00a0I want this one… this one… and this one!\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> – and three little \u00ab\u00a0marie-antoinette\u00a0\u00bb cakes and a glass of ice-cold sparkling champagne appears on a little table; a raspberry suddenly disappears from the first cake\u00a0and the soft caramel icing of the second gets broken with a little spoon, oh\u00a0it’s a mess now but\u00a0a beautiful one!<\/p>\n

The fragrance starts with the notes of salted caramel<\/em> and white musk<\/em> which is particularly beautiful here. When it settles down, you can feel\u00a0benzoin<\/em> and amber<\/em> joining the olfactory game. The perfume doesn’t change dramatically as you wear it, it just becomes more rich, woody and velvety. However Candy is not a \u00ab\u00a0mysterious drama queen femme fatale\u00a0\u00bb kind of scent. It’s luminous, intimate, charming and soft. But it’s also not as plain as its name is. This fragrance is more creamy than sweet, that is the engaging secret.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, I lean more towards the perfume classics: L’Heure Bleue<\/a>, Tabac Blond<\/a>, Shalimar<\/a>,.. but when I wake up and feel like the hardest decision I want to make today is choosing between Saint Honore Rose Framboise<\/a> and Ispahan<\/a>, I reach for my hedonism in a bottle – Prada Candy. And I decide to take both.<\/p>\n

Prada Candy is created by\u00a0Daniela Roche-Andrier in 2011. Among her noticeable (and loved by me!) works are\u00a0Ang\u00e9lique Noire<\/em> for Guerlain (2005), (untitled)<\/em> for Maison Martin Margiela (2010) and Prada’s\u00a0Infusion d’Iris<\/em> (2007) which now started a whole Les Infusions<\/a> line. Daniela Roche-Andrier is famous for her sophisticated and refined style.<\/p>\n

Prada Candy Eau de Parfum comes in three sizes: 30 ml, 50 ml and 80 ml. There is also a mini 20 ml version of it – Prada Candy Kiss<\/a>, as well as a range of body care products.<\/p>\n
